It went byy sooo fast[such as life]. summer bridge is pretty much over.the last few weeks i've learned some new things about myself as well as other people. my first insight sleep is goodin the fall i need to make sure i get enough sleep so i wont be grumpy all day. although going out with roomates and neighbors is fun i need to learn to say no i have school tomorrow hahaha.howd i draw this conclusion???real life experinces of course...i havnt slept before anytime before 2 am since ive been here.my second insight afternoon classes are wonderfulll :D since i didnt get much sleep it didnt really matter because i started class at 1. i will take this into mind when choosing next semesters classes ;)
After completing the summer program i am less afraid of what awaits me but i still have some concerns.some potential obstacles i could face is getting over whelmed with work and not being able to manage my time wisley. but because of my resources such as my eop councelor and being able to choose my own classes and times hopefully this wont be a problem. another concern of mine is balancing school work with fun. i need to make sure i keep my priorities straight.
but yeah still cant believe its over it was fun while it lasted see you all in the fall :D

Blog # 1 - Intro Letter
Well , my name is Chantel but i am also known as "joy" . Before comming to San Marcos I attended Martin Luther king high school in riverside California. I never really liked high school maybe it was the people or maybe it was just me but in the end it was never really my thing. Although i didnt really like high school i enjoyed doing track and field in my free time. The track program in school helped to motivate me and push me throutgh high school.
Not only track but also my biggest "cheerleaders" my family stayed by my side and made sure i got through high school and made it into college. There support means everything to me and their belief that i can suceed has inspired me a great deal. wherever my family is,thats what i call home. :-)
I feel that my best personality traits are my abilities to empathize and listen to other people. i dont talk much but sometimes a good listener is needed. Choosing a major has been very difficult for me as of right now i am a liberal studies major but i am sure it will change.I guess i feel like i could do any and everything. My biggest fears about college is that i will choose the wrong major and not be fully happy with my college experience. I decided to come to college because i know that without a higher level of education it would be hard for me to find a decent paying job.i chose csusm because i want to be able to compete in track and i like the atmosphere of the college its small and quit.
my celeberty crush is no secret its shannon brown of the los angeles lakers hes cute and he balls...enuff said :)
and if i could be anything in the world and talent or money or nothing stood in the way i would want to be a journalist for a famous magazine like rollingstone or vibe..... why?because i love to write and i love music.<3>
